I was looking for things I could cook in my new Air Fryer, and stumbled upon the most delightful apple pie dessert I’ve had in a long time! The original recipe that I based mine on was from Amanda Rettke-iambaker.net. I used the Shaw’s Signature store-brand apple pie filling which wasn’t too sweet. In fact, it was more like home-made. I don’t always follow recipes closely, tending to adjust and adapt them to my own specific tastes.
When I served this dessert at a friends cookout it was a huge hit! By the time we got to dessert, it was room temperature, which is fine. But, my instinct is telling me that next time I should try warming them up and serve them with a nice, creamy Vanilla Bean ice cream on top!
